Digital Danger: The Realities of Life Online - Workshop for BCS 6th - 8th Grade Parents and Students

  • Bullis Charter School North Campus MPR 102 West Portola Avenue Los Altos, CA, 94022 United States (map)

You may be aware that our children face very different challenges than we did growing up, and the risks of a life online can be tremendous.  While tools such as Instagram, snap chat, email, texting, and Facebook can be powerful community builders, they can also encourage cyber bullying and compromise privacy in alarming ways.  Join us for a workshop for BCS 6th-8th grade students AND parents to learn what your family can do to stay safe online.

Presentation and workshop will be run by Michelle Dennedy, VP and Chief Privacy Officer at Cisco and BCS parent.  Throughout her career, Michelle has worked to raise awareness and teach skills to promote privacy, quality, respect, trust, and safety online.  Note to parents: there will be mature content.

Event limited to BCS 6th-8th graders accompanied by a parent/guardian only.  Click here to RSVP.
