Calling BCS families, through our whisper-ma-phone,
For a favorite tradition, that is very well-known!
The BBC invites you to our Fall Family Dinner.
We'll have games and a cakewalk - you might be a winner!
Food trucks will offer a fabulous feast.
Green Eggs and Ham? Or rare Who-roast beast?
Our theme is the whimsical, beloved Dr. Seuss.
We hope you will join us. Have fun and let loose!
Mark your calendar for the first school-wide social event of the year! BCS students and their families are invited to come together and reconnect after the summer at our annual Fall Family Dinner!
We need your help to make this event great. Please sign up to volunteer!
The Fall Family Dinner has three main components: Dinner, Cakewalk and Book sale.
1) Dinner - You're welcome to bring your own meal. Food will be available for sale at the event from 5-7pm. The following food trucks will be serving up scrumptious fare from 5:00 - 7:00pm:
- Eat on Monday
- SAJJ Mediterranean
- Big Ed's Buzzard BBQ
- Mamacitas Tacos
Have a sneak peak at their menus! Trucks will accept cash or credit.
Picnic tables will be available on a first come first seated basis. Many families prefer to bring picnic blankets and sit on the field to enjoy their food.
2) Cakewalk - Children love this part of the event - most students think this is the most important part of the night. The cakewalk is similar to musical chairs and the winners get to pick a cake to take home. We will have a live DJ for the event and will play multiple rounds and have multiple winners per round. You do not have to bring a cake to participate. Any student at Bullis is welcome to join in this event.
Bring any cake you want - you can make one (or two or three :)) yourself or bring your favorite from a store. Consider making an alternative cake that doesn't contain one or more common allergens (milk, gluten, nuts, etc.). In past years, we have had some families create non-food cakes (a book cake, a board game cake, a cake of art supplies). Feel free to be creative. All cakes are welcome.
Your cake will automatically be entered the cake competition. The categories for this year are:
Best Theme (Dr. Seuss)
Best School Spirit
Best Alternate Cake
Please fill in the volunteer sheet if you plan to bring a cake. Please include your email address so we can send you specifics about cake drop off.
3) Book sale - This is the final night of the North Campus book sale. The sale will be open all through the event and at the end of the event, the book store will hold the final raffle for their grand prize. All the proceeds of this sale benefit the school libraries. Please check out the book sale's event for more details.
We will also be doing a raffle with four door prizes. Please remember to check-in and claim your raffle ticket at the registration desk.
Meet new families, reconnect after summer. We would love to see you there.
