β How to Participate in WoW! β
What is WoW!?
Once a month, we encourage all students to walk, bike, scooter, or skateboard to school instead of driving. It's a fun community event that happens on specific days throughout the year.
Here's what to do:
- Check the calendar below for the next WoW! day
- On that day, leave the car at home! Walk, bike, scooter, or skateboard to school
- Check in when you arrive - at the WoW! table in the drop-off area
Live too far? See our "park and walk" options below!
β What Makes WoW! Special? β
WoW! is one of our students' favorite events! It inspires kids to walk, bike, scooter, or skateboard to school—making healthier, more sustainable choices together.
Here's why families love WoW!:
- Less traffic chaos during drop-off and pick-up means more quality time together
- Students arrive energized and ready to learn—research shows kids who walk to school are more alert and focused
- We're building healthy habits that last a lifetime
- It's a community celebration that brings everyone together once a month

π‘οΈ Safety First: Our BEARS Expectation π‘οΈ
WoW! days are the perfect opportunity to practice our BEARS expectation: ACT SAFELY.
β οΈ Critical Reminder: School Traffic Safety
Every year, injuries and fatalities from vehicular accidents increase across our communities. The growing traffic congestion during school drop-off and pick-up times poses a real threat to our children's safety.
That's why BCS has partnered with the Bullis Boosters Club, Los Altos Police Department, and Safe Routes to School to raise awareness about traffic safety. Together, we're working to prevent tragedies and keep our school community safe.
Please review our Pedestrian Safety Flyers:
Your careful attention to these guidelines helps protect every child in our community.
