BBC Speaker Series: Raising the Digital Future - how to protect your kids' privacy online
BCS Parent Kalinda Raina is a mother of three and a privacy lawyer who is passionate about helping parents find practical solutions to protecting their children’s privacy online while empowering kids to be thoughtful digital citizens. Kalinda has been an advocate of online privacy for over twenty years and worked on the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, the first children’s privacy law passed in the United States in 1998. She served as the first Chief Privacy Officer of Nintendo of America and was the second member of Apple’s privacy team. She now leads the Global Privacy Program at LinkedIn. She has served on the board of the Family Online Safety Institute, written articles on kids’ privacy for Common Sense Media and Scholastic News and recently started a video blog called Raising the Digital Future with parent tips on issues ranging from data privacy to cyberbullying.
